That is God’s commandment. And whoso honors the sacred things of Allah, it will be good for him with his Lord. And the eating of the flesh of all cattle is made lawful to you except that which has already been announced to you in the Quran. Shun, therefore, the abomination of idols, and shun all words of untruth,
Remaining ever inclined to Allah, not associating anything with Him. And whoso associates anything with Allah, falls, as it were, from a height, and the birds snatch him away, or the wind blows him away to a distant place.

Will Smith had himself stated last year that he has an open marriage, meaning that he and his wife openly see others intimately. He did not find any moral objection in that but felt that Chris Rock’s joking about her lack of hair or alopecia, by suggesting that she could take the role of Demi Moore, in the movie GI Jane, was not moral or ethical and so reprehensible that it was deserving of a slap.
What does it tell us about human morality? What gave Will Smith a right to be so offended by the mention of his wife’s bald head that he felt he can physically violate a fellow human on the world stage?
Were there deeper emotional, psychological and moral issues at play that do not meet the eye?
I will keep developing this post over time but believe there is sufficient food for thought here already.
Will Smith reveals he and Jada Pinkett Smith have an open marriage

Smith made the assertion during an interview with GQ in September 2021.
‘Jada never believed in conventional marriage… Jada had family members that had an unconventional relationship,’ the Men In Black actor, who has been married to Pinkett Smith since 1997, told the magazine.
‘We have given each other trust and freedom, with the belief that everybody has to find their own way. And marriage for us can’t be a prison.’
Smith also revealed a previous fantasy of having a ‘harem’ of famous girlfriends. He discussed the idea with intimacy coach Michaela Boehm, but never went ahead with the idea.
He planned for the group to include Halle Berry and Misty Copeland, and even thought about contacting the women.
‘I don’t know where I saw it or some s*** as a teenager, but the idea of travelling with 20 women that I loved and took care of and all of that, it seemed like a really great idea.
