We have a good coverage on Pantheism and refutation of it. Dead and inert matter cannot be God. In one line Pantheism is replacing one small wooden or stone statue, with all of universe.

In the study of consciousness if you find panpsychism to be wrong then attributing consciousness to the whole of the universe is equally wrong. If an atom or a molecule is not conscious, then all 10 raised to the power 80, all of them put together, are not conscious.
