The above audio is by Dr. Omar Suleiman.
Suleiman is an American Islamic scholar, civil rights leader, writer, and public speaker. Born on June 3, 1986, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to a family of Palestinian descent, he pursued studies in Islamic law, Islamic finance, political history, and Islamic thought and civilization.
Suleiman began his career as the imam of the Jefferson Muslim Association in New Orleans, where he also directed the “Muslims for Humanity” Hurricane Katrina relief effort in 2005. In 2016, he founded the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, a think tank dedicated to addressing contemporary issues related to Islam and Muslims. He also co-founded MUHSEN (Muslims Understanding and Helping Special Education Needs), aiming to create inclusive Muslim communities for individuals with disabilities.
Beyond his scholarly work, Dr. Suleiman is an adjunct professor of Islamic studies at Southern Methodist University and serves as the resident scholar at the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Dallas, Texas. He is actively involved in interfaith dialogue and social justice initiatives, participating in movements such as Black Lives Matter and advocating for comprehensive immigration reform. In 2019, he delivered the opening invocation for the U.S. House of Representatives at the invitation of Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson.
His published works include “Prayers of the Pious” (2019), “Allah Loves…” (2020), and “Meeting Muhammad” (2022), among others.
I admire and applaud his above work and biography. But when it comes to jinns and demons and jinn possession, I need to save the 1.8 billion Muslims from his work and many other Muslim scholars, who have not yet academically exorcised their own personal jinns:
