In the 1960s, a famous Hindu Scholar wrote a research paper called, “Kalki Avatar and Muhammad Saheb”. His name was Dr. Ved Prakash Upadhyai. M.A. (Sanskrit), D. Phil. (Scholar of religious scripts), Dip in German.

In this paper he collected various signs of the promised Kalki Avtar mentioned in the Hindu religious literature, and whose appearance Hindus are awaiting. He argued that all of the signs of the Last Kalki Avtar describe only one man and that man is Muhammad A. Following is a short summary of his writings.

According to Bhagwad Geta, the last Avtar will be born in Kalyug which started 5,071 years ago. The last Avtar will be born when sword and horses will be used in the wars. In Bhagwath Puran it is clearly mentioned that the just protector of the world will crush the enemies riding on the fast-paced horses given by God and all the 8 good qualities. (Bhagwath Puran vol. 12, chapter 2, Ashlok 17 & 19)

► Eight Qualities of Kalki Avtar: Bhagwath Puran mentions eight qualities of Kalki Avtar. 1) Knowledge of that which is not present. 2) Honorable high family. 3) Control over self. 4) Revelation. 5) Physical Strength/endurance. 6) Economy of speech. 7) Philanthropist/Generous. 8) Grateful

► Place of birth: Place of birth of Kalki Avtar will be “Shanbhal” and he will be born in the house of the priest. The name of the priest will be “Vishnu Yash”. All these names are in Sanskrit language. Names in Sanskrit are based on their meanings. The word “Shanbhal” will be translated as “make peaceful”. And Makkah Muazzamah is also called, “Darul Aman” in Arabic, meaning house of peace. Makkah was the place of birth of Muhammad A.

► Date of Birth: In Kalki Puran, it is written that Kalki will be born in Madha Maas in Shukl Paksh Dwadashi. Shukla Dwadashi is the name for the 12th Tithi (lunar day). It’s the 12th Tithi of Shuklapaksha. Its nature is Yasha Prada, which can be interpreted as “fame giver”. Twelfth Rabi-ul-Awwal is 12^th of the lunar month i.e; Shukl Paksh Dwadashi, and is the date of birth of Myhammad A.

► It is said about Kalki Avtar that he will be born in the house of the priest. Muhammad A was born in the tribe of Quresh who were the caretakers of Ka’abah.

► The name of the mother of Kaliki Avtar is mentioned as, “Sumathi (Sonwathi)” which means peace loving and soft spoken. The name of the mother of Muhammad Awas Amina, meaning peace loving.

► His father’s name is mentioned as, “Vishnu Yash”, meaning pure and worshipper of God. The name of Muhammad’s A father was Abdullah, meaning servant of God or Vishnu.

► Kalki Avtar is said to be the last Avtar of the last Age. Muhammad A claimed to be the last Prophet of God until the end of times. (Kalki is last of 24 Avtars. Bhagwat Puran chapter 1 paragraph 33, Ashlok 25)

► It is written in Kalki Puran that after birth Kalki will go towards a hill and get educated by parshuranji. (Parshuram = Gabriel) (Kalki Puran: Chapter 2, Ashlok 5 & 7) Muhammad A used to go to Ghar-e-Hira (cave named Hira) and Qur’an was revealed through Arch Angel Gabriel. It is also written that later he will go towards North. Muhammad A migrated to Medina halfway through his ministry which is North of Makkah. Later he returned to Makkah. This event is also mentioned about Kalki in Puranas. Parshuram will educate kalki in a cave. Parshuram = Gabriel or the Holy Ghost.

► Shiv will gift a horse to Kalki which will be miraculous. Muhammad A was given a horse called “Burraq”. He rode the horse on the night of Miraj.

►Defeat of kali with four brothers; Kalki Puran says Kalki will defeat Kali Satan with four brothers. Muhammad A defeated Satan with his four brothers: (Kalki Puran chapter 2, Ashlok 5) Hazrat Abu Bakr, Hazrat Omar, Hazrat Uthman and Hazrat Ali. (Four rightly guided khulafa)

► Kalki Puran says that God will help in wars. The Holy Qur’an claims that God helped Muhammad A with angels in battles of Badr and Uhd and others.

► In Bhagwath Puran the last Avtar is called Jagath Pati. Jagath means the world and Pati means protector. This means that the last Avtar will be protector of the entire world. Muhammad A claimed to be the last Prophet of God which was sent to the entire mankind to save them from sin. To this day there has not been another Prophet or a new law. Religion of Islam remains the last and final religion sent by God almighty.
