The following is a comprehensive compilation of hadith (prophetic and imamic narrations) about Imam al-Mahdi – the promised savior in Islamic eschatology – drawn from both Sunni and Shiʿi sources. We include narrations of all grades (authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), reliable (ḥasan), weak (ḍaʿīf), etc.), each presented in the original Arabic text alongside an English translation. The hadith are thematically organized into categories: Lineage and Identity, Physical and Moral Characteristics, Events and Signs Preceding His Emergence, His Role and Global Mission, and Duration of Rule & Eschatological Implications. Under each theme, both Sunni and Shiʿi perspectives are clearly indicated and cited.
