Presented by Zia H Shah MD

A lot of topics are discussed in this video. I want to agree with Nidhal Guessoum’s emphasis on methodological naturalism. I have two articles to share on this theme:

Methodological versus metaphysical naturalism: A comprehensive analysis — Avoiding unnecessary debates between theists and atheists

Methodological vs. Metaphysical Naturalism: A Comparative Study Across Science, Theology, and Epistemology

Several of my articles are following in the footsteps of Dr. Maurice Bucaille and it seems that the speakers in this video are not sympathetic to that. My articles and Bucaille’s book speak for themselves. Here, I want to share one simple insight: The Quran mentions science qualitatively but not quantitatively. In so doing, it uses its metaphors to guide us towards true theology and faith.

Both the interviewer and the presenter in this video do not seem to believe in prayers, while I do and I present Al Ghazali’s occasionalism as a mechanism for all of God’s intervention in our universe, for guided evolution, miracles and granting of prayers. If you search the word occasionalism in this very website, you will find all those articles. A few are shared here:

Many Worlds Interpretation And al-Ghazali’s Occasionalism

The Glorious Quran Endorses Al Ghazali’s Occasionalism

Why Each Photon of Light is An Exhibit that Al Ghazali May Have the Last Laugh

How God Interacts With the Universe: Grants Prayers, Guided Evolution, and Delivers Miracles At Times?

All this does not mean that I believe in every miracle claimed by any Muslim. I have my reasons to be choosy.
