A large majority of the top scientists and mathematicians are atheists. Almost 85% of them. There are some ten thousand professors of philosophy in USA universities and 73% of them are atheists, while only 15% of them are theists, leaving some 12% as agnostics or undecided. The sources or references are given below in the reference or bibliography section.
Not to speak of God, 80% of the philosophers even don’t believe in freewill.[1]
Majority of the top scientists and philosophers take SETI more seriously than finding God of Abrahamic faiths. Majority of them are strict materialist or physicalist so they simply do not allow the possibility of transcendent God, who is beyond time, space and matter. So, the first step in any discussion of religion, God or scripture is to create the possibility of God. The first interviewee in the video below, neuroscientist David Eagleman does exactly that with a beautiful metaphor:
Quantum physics or extra dimensions in our universe as provided by the string theory may allow for possibility but of course not probability or certainty of revelation from beyond. But, creating that possibility broadens our horizons and allows for more real discussions rather than dogmatic ones that rule out certain subjects.
Once we open up the possibility of God then we can truly examine some additional questions, for example:

How Could Most Mathematicians Believe in Heaven, But Not in God?
When an agnostic or atheist is open to the possibility of revelation then they may be ready to examine the Quran or the Bible.
Only at such a point in time, I would like to invite them to review our commentary of the Quran that has a section on Quran and science:
